Q) Why is my PC always Infected?
First, we want to thank all of our customers and especially our customers that trust us by returning when ever there is a problem that arises with there computer system. It is because of all of you that we are able to continue to provide the best service available with a smile.
Now lets move on to the question at hand. There is an easy answer and a complicated one. And we will start with the easy answer, yet it is hard to hear. It would be Your Internet Habits. 99% of all PC's that are brought in are infected due to Trojans and/or virus' that have been downloaded by means of what is called peer to peer software such as Limewire (only one example of many) Thes e applications are used to download software, movies, music and images that would otherwise cost money somewhere else. Granted the software has been created for legitimate use, but most (weather they know it or not) use it for (brace yourself) Illegal Use! And this is a breeding farm for all things viral.
The complicated answer falls in the computer user's browsing habits. What sites do you visit? Do you download everything that says "Download Now"? Free wallpaper or screen savers account for many of the computer problems we see. When scans reveal malware/spyware they generally leave footsteps that show its origin as wallpaper, screen saver and free game downloads. Then there are the social websites such as Friendster. And I am using Friendster as an example here because they allowed Antivirus 2009 to advertise on thier network. Antivirus 2009 will instantly hijack your browser, show you a warning of virus' detected and give you the option clean them or download software to clean them. If you click the message they show you, then you have given them access to take over your PC. Many sites such as Porn, game, free movie and social web sites is where you will get infected with this nasty tactile bugger.
So, now you know. If you don't want virus' malware, spyware, trojans or any other bugger on your PC and you seem to keep getting them, then please take a look at your surfing and downloading habits. It can save you so much money in the future. Also keep in mind, there is No one anti virus program out there that will keep your PC safe. Truthfully there are no combination that will fully protect your PC. The only protection you have, are your habits.
